Asbilek, one of the leading companies in the saw industry today, will exhibit its new products at the International Pipe Fair. Founded in 1980, Asbilek is among the largest circular saw manufacturers in Europe. Asbilek Sales Manager Koray Osmanoğlu said: "Our company aims to lay better foundations for the future with its R&D studies as well as providing high quality products and services targeting customer satisfaction". We talked about the Company's activities with Asbilek Sales Manager Koray Osmanoğlu. He stated that their innovations in terms of quality and technology always put them at the top of the list of preferences.

Could you tell us about the development process and fields of activity of Asbilek?

“We are the first circular saw manufacturer in Turkey. This business was started in 1980 by producing circular saws for wood cutting. Later, we added circular saw blades and circular saw bodies to our product portfolio for many sectors, especially wood, aluminum, metal and stone sectors. Today, we have become one of the leading companies in the saw industry. We are now exporting 65 percent of our production. We export to more than 50 countries, especially to the Middle East, America and European countries. We are among the leading circular saw manufacturers in the world."

What does Asbilek do in terms of innovation in the sector?

“Asbilek has always been a follower of technological innovations in its sector. Our company has adopted the highest quality production and customer satisfaction as a principle with its knowledge and experience. In addition, our company continues its production with 200 employees in its new facility in Istanbul Anatolian Side OSB since 2007, which has a closed area of 10 thousand square meters. At this point, our company is guided by the quality standards of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007."

How do you manage the sales and marketing network?

"Our domestic sales are directed by our Karaköy branch. Actually, we can say that Karaköy is our base. Our other dealers also carry out their sales through this base. On the other hand, in the Turkish market, we generally carry out our sales through the dealership network. We have representations abroad. We sell through agencies."

What is your region of concentration abroad?

“The Middle East and Europe are our very important markets for us, and we have an increasing market share in the Americas and Africa regions. Being one of the few companies in the world in terms of both diameter and technology in circular saw production is a very important plus for us in reaching our customers. It is a matter of proud for our country, too as it is for us."

How was 2012 for Asbilek? What are your predictions for 2013?

“After the 2008 crisis, we recovered in a short time. 2009 was a year of recovery. We started to rise again in 2010. Our rise continued in the same way in 2011 – 2012. Our targets in 2012 were fully met. We achieved 15% growth. We are targeting a growth rate in 2013 as well. And 2013, like the previous year, will pass with both developing new products for the needs of the market and innovation studies for different products that we think will work more efficiently. "

Asbilek attaches special importance to R&D. Could you tell us about what you have done in this regard?

"Our company is one of the leading companies in the world with its experience of more than 30 years and its state-of-the-art machinery. Therefore, R&D studies have a very important place in the production of the company. We will further strengthen our strengths as required by our industry and also due to our special position in this industry."

What are your thoughts on the pipe fair?

“It is one of the few fairs in Turkey, which is very big and has international recognition. There is an intense participation from around the world. Being here is important to us. We produce products for pipe cutting. It is important for us to exhibit these products at the fair and to introduce them to the manufacturers there. In addition, we aim to meet with our existing customers at the fair."

What would you like to add to wrap up?
